Although Wyoming is nicknamed the Cowboy State, as the home of Jackson Hole, it may be more renowned for its skiing. When it comes to downhill snow sports, though, the slopes are only half the fun. The apres ski portion of events is just as—if not more—important than the shredding itself. Here are some spots where you’ll find the best apres ski activities in Wyoming.
When you say “apres ski” in Jackson Hole, the first response will likely be the Mangy Moose. This Teton Village stalwart has been synonymous with the apres scene pretty much since it opened its doors. Great food, tons of live music, the drinks you want, and plenty of dancing—all at the foot of one of the country’s premier ski resorts—makes the Mangy Moose the place to go when you’re done for the day.

If you’re skiing or boarding Snow King, then you oughta’ apres at the Silver Dollar Bar & Grill in Jackson’s historic Wort Hotel. Awesome drinks, live music, and great food—as well as decent specials during happy hour—make the Silver Dollar a great place to unwind and warm up.
When you’re looking for a little “gemutlichkeit” with your apres experience, stay at the historic Alpenhof Lodge at the foot of the aerial tram in Teton Village. Cozy up to a roaring fire with a bier or schnapps and enjoy the jacuzzi and heated pool as you gaze up at the stars over the Tetons.
When you’ve left everything on the slopes at Grand Targhee Resort, you’ll find the best apres scene at the Trap Bar and Grill. The Trap is renowned for all that is apres: Food, drink, live music, dancing (or chilling), and plenty of fellow skiers and boarders to bond with.

If you find yourself shredding the slopes at White Pine Ski Resort, in the Wind River Range, your best bet for apres ski excellence is the World Famous Corral Bar in nearby Pinedale. They have bar games on hand, serve up delicious food and delectable drinks, offer great specials, and have a full schedule of live music—plus it's just down the street from Wind River Brewing Co.
After a day on the slopes of Sleeping Giant Ski Area, on the eastern of fringe of Yellowstone National Park, Juniper: Bar + Market + Bistro is the place to go in nearby Cody. Located in the heart of downtown, Juniper features live music every weekend, craft beer, cocktails and wine, as well as extremely tasty apres ski snacks.
If you brought the kiddos to shred with you at Sleeping Giant, head to Old Trail Town, otherwise known as “The Best Real Western Experience in the Rockies." This replication of an 1800s western town consists of 26 buildings, authentic Indian artifacts, a wide variety of Wyoming frontier memorabilia, and over a hundred horse drawn vehicles. It is the “largest collection of its kind in Wyoming." Take a walk back in time and enjoy everything that the old west has to offer!
Students at the University of Wyoming, in Laramie, get their powder fix at nearby Snowy Range Ski Area, but they get their drinks and dancing fix at the Buckhorn Bar and Parlor. The Buckhorn is Laramie’s oldest and longest-tenured bar. In addition to the amazing western decor, they offer up plenty of specials, live music and a parlor full of bar games.

If your legs are still going strong after a day at Snowy Range, head over to the Cowboy Saloon and Dance Hall when you roll into Laramie. This country-themed bar is always rockin’ with heel-kickin' action from regular live acts and, of course, they serve exactly the kinds of libations you look for after a long day on the slopes.

Centennial is the closest town to the Snowy Range Ski Area. If you’re staying in the area—or want to head into this small town—Antlers Saloon is absolutely your best bet. There, you’ll find a great drink selection, a menu of hearty fare, live music, and dancing, all only about five minutes from the base of the slopes.
