Eugene T. Mahoney State Park is one of the largest and most popular state parks in Nebraska and features an enormous, manicured ice rink for family outings. During operating hours there is a small fee, however, you can also visit the rink during off hours for free if you bring your own skates.
Located in the heart of downtown Lincoln, the Railyard Ice Rink is a popular spot to go ice skating during the winter months. This beautiful, well-maintained rink is close to cafes and shops so you can quickly and easily warm up with a hot drink after spinning around on the ice.
The Motto McLean Ice Arena is a popular ice skating spot in Omaha that is open year-round. Ice skaters of all ages will have fun on the rink and the arena also hosts both ice skating and figure skating lessons for those who want to take their skills to the next level.

The John Breslow Ice Hockey Center is the first indoor ice skating rink in Lincoln and not just for the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s use. The NHL-size rink is also open for public ice skating sessions throughout the year. If you’re looking for lessons or team sessions, the ice hockey center provides some options for both.
In Fremont, the Sidner Ice Arena is the perfect spot to hit the ice with friends and family. The ice skating rink hosts public skating sessions, as well as a number of events and ice hockey games all year round.
Grover Ice in Omaha is one of the newest ice skating rinks in the state. In addition to a large sheet of ice, this spot features a food and beverage bar, party rooms, and open skate sessions. Grover Ice is also home to the Omaha Broomball Club and many league hockey clubs.
