All anglers ages 10 and older—resident and nonresident, alike—must have a license to fish in Arizona's public waters. Anglers younger than 10 and blind residents of the state are not required to purchase a license. Residents who are 70 years or older, and who have lived in the state for 25 consecutive years before applying, may qualify for a free license. Disabled veterans who are residents of the state and have verification that they are 100% disabled may also qualify for a complimentary license. Licenses can be purchased from Arizona Game and Fish Department offices, from an official license dealer, or online at the AZGFD website.
