Before hunting in Connecticut, it is important to familiarize yourself with the local regulations and restrictions. Hunting on Sundays in Connecticut is illegal. Hunting from a motor vehicle or ATV is prohibited on state-owned or controlled properties. Hunting near public roads, buildings, people, and domestic animals is also prohibited. From September 1 through the last day of February, hunters are required to wear orange clothing. Additionally, all hunters are required to have permission of the landowner to hunt on private property. For more regulations, review the annual Hunting and Trapping Guide.
