Race Through Red, White & Blue: A One-of-a-Kind 5K Along Alameda’s Historic Parade Route
Come out for our July 4th tradition and run this flat and fast point to point 5k thru the closed streets of Alameda. Our schedule is below:
7/1 thru 7/3: Laurens Closet. 1420 Park St, Alameda. Hours 10:00am - 5:00pm
7/4 Race morning registration opens at 7:30am 1420 Park St, Alameda (Race Start)
The run will start at 8:30am this year to provide ample space between our runners and the Parade that follows. * NOTE this is 30 min earlier than past races. We are also working with Alameda TMA on a transit solution to and from the race start and finish.
If you are traveling via Bart or public transportation please review the schedules below to get you to the race start, and picked up from the race finish.

Finish: 1526 Webster St, Alameda, CA 94501 (across from Tapout Fitness)
The 5K run (3.1 mile) and walk takes you through beautiful Alameda starting at 8:30AM, just before the historic 4th of July Parade. This run benefits the Midway Shelter of Alameda. We are working closely with the City so that we can bring a safe and fun experience for both runners and spectators
The race starts at 1420 Park Street in front of Lauren’s Closet and follows the Alameda parade route ending at Haight and Webster. The scenic course is completely closed to traffic as you run past spectators waiting for the parade to start. Your run will finish just past the parade judging booth. Like prior years, we will have access to Haight st (current location of the Tues/Sat farmers market). Stick around and enjoy post race water, Gatorade hydration plenty of snacks and beer donated from Faction brewery!
ALL runners will receive a custom finisher medal and quality cotton blend shirt while supplies last. Register early to guarantee a shirt in the correct size
