Apple Days Overview

It’s autumn on historic Burnside Plantation! Celebrate the bounty of the season at Apple Days festival and Market to Go.
- Step back in time in our “Historic Area” featuring living history demonstrations and hands-on activities.
- Tour the 1748/1818 farmhouse and learn about daily life for a busy family hundreds of years ago.
- See “what’s cooking” in the summer kitchen then quench your thirst with a visit to the Tavern.
- Enjoy hands-on kids’ activities, a children’s hay bale maze, shopping with local vendors, sweet treats from some of the Lehigh Valley’s finest bakeries, live music, pony rides, visiting farm animals and SO MUCH MORE.

NEW This Year!

Apple Days kicks off with Family Hour from 10 AM – 11 AM with special programming for families with young kids!
- Get a dose of Narrative Medicine with the Story Doctor who brings stories to life with YOUR help.
- Travel back in time with Quotes & Quills, then create a souvenir from the 18th century to take home.
- Discover the wonders of early American life on the farm during special family-friendly time in the historic home.
- Discover how kids spent their (very limited!) free time with simple toys that required no batteries or electricity and so much more!

Quotes and Quills – 10:00 AM – 11:15 AM 
Drop in anytime and create your own primary source and souvenir from the 18th century to take home!

Mystery & History – 11:30 AM – 12:15 PM 
Hidden in the depths of Bethlehem’s Colonial Industrial Quarter lies a dark and enigmatic secret. Whispers of unsolved murders linger in the air, while eerie premonitions haunt the minds of those who dare to enter.

Art of Artifacts – 12:30 PM – 1:15 PM 
During the 18th and 19th centuries, pockets were separate articles of clothing, tied around the waist. Often decorated with silk embroidery, these pockets provided space for women to carry their most important possessions. Make and decorate your own felt pocket to take home.

The Healing Garden – 2:30 PM – 3:15 PM 
Discover historic and contemporary herbal medicine and the healing power of plants.

Instructed Love Feast – 3:30 PM – 4:15 PM 
Experience the fellowship and hospitality of an authentic Moravian Love Feast. Complimentary refreshments!
