Blueberry Fun Runs

Not gonna lie - these races start by running up a ginormous hill. Like a really, really big hill. What's worse - it ENDS uphill....
And that - is why we partner with the Ketchikan Running Club! Because they like to run. Even up hills. Please see the link below to their website and to sign up for the Blueberry Fun Runs!
The Blueberry Fun Runs begin and end at the intersection of Grant and Main Streets. Schedule:
Blueberry Saturday
8:00am - 1- Mile Fun Run/Walk - this is for all ages.
8:30am - 5k and 10 K Fun Run/Walk - this is for all ages.
Many, many thanks to the Ketchikan Running Club and its members. You inspire those of us that only look uphill.

Blueberry Slug Weigh and Race!!!

Yes Gracie - there is a Slug Race!!!
The Blueberry Arts Festival acknowledges the crucial symbiotic relationship between slugs and the rain forest environment. They're the digestion system of the forest!!!
But really, its just funny to think about slugs racing!!! And - its sometimes hard to discern who is enjoying the whole thing more, the kids or the parents! BUT the Slug Race and the Slug Weigh-In are for people ages 12 and younger.
The Slug Weigh-In begins at 9:30am at the intersection of Main and Mission Streets.
The Slug Race begins at 10:30am at the intersection of Main and Mission Streets.

Blueberry Pie Eating Contests

Ketchikan Youth Court Great Blueberry Ball Roll

Ketchikan Youth Court is a restorative justice program focusing on first time juvenile offenders. Our program relies on private funding sources outside of grant sources, which includes the Great Blueberry Ball Roll raffle. The raffle was created to help KYC’s mission to serving the community and providing a fun event. The proceeds of the raffle will be used to fund attendance to the annual statewide Youth Court conference.
Raffle tickets can be purchased prior to and during the Blueberry Arts Festival. Each raffle ticket gets a ball to roll. When the clock strikes 3pm on Blueberry Saturday, we dump the box of blueberry balls and the roll and bounce and get stuck and go off course and race to the finish line. The first ball across the finish line wins!!!!
Raffle tickets are $10 each.
