Mary Kay Vampires
11th Hour Productions

In 1980s suburbia, beauty is power and blood runs beneath the blush. A darkly funny, campy thriller where housewives hide fangs, secrets simmer, and the makeup empire has a hunger all its own.

Set in the 1980s, *Mary Kay Vampires* follows Ester, a former beauty queen, pulled into the world of an unlikely trio: Ruthie, a sweet-as-honey housewife with charm to spare; Vera, a cunning mastermind; and a mysterious affliction known as “The Hunger.”

Beauty may hide flaws, but it can’t cover up dark secrets. Makeup may disguise imperfections, but it cannot conceal a haunting past. In this world, beauty becomes a battleground—because after all, it’s not just makeup—it’s an empire.

If you love The Stepford Wives, Dirty Dancing, Love Lies Bleeding, The Substance, and Titus Andronicus, Mary Kay Vampires is your next obsession.

11th Hour Productions is a queer theatre company based in Orlando, FL, with the Orlando Fringe Festival as our home. Our work has earned accolades including Best LGBT Show (Gay Cowboys, 2023), Best LGBT Director (Ciara Hannon, Gay Cowboys, 2023), Best Show in Yellow Venue (Leviticus, Orlando Fringe 2019), Clean Sweep Award (An Adele Horror Story, Orlando Fringe 2021), and Fringiest of the Fringe (An Adele Horror Story, Orlando Fringe 2021).

11th Hour Productions has always been dedicated to telling queer stories, but as we’ve grown, so has our commitment to giving back to the community. In April 2024, we remounted An Adele Horror Story, a beloved Fringe festival staple and box office hit. This run was particularly special, as we raised $875 for The Center Orlando—further cementing our belief that storytelling is most powerful when it helps support and uplift the community.

Recently, the Florida governor cut $32 million in arts funding, blaming the Orlando and Tampa Fringe Festivals for being “sexual.” If you want to see the queer art that’s making the Florida governor shake in his lifted boots, we’ve got you covered. 11th Hour Productions is a collective of loud, proud queer women telling bloody, campy vampire stories—straight from a very, very red state.

So, what do you say, hun? Can we come in?
