Coggeshall Farm Sheep & Wool Festival 2025

The Sheep & Wool Festival returns to Coggeshall Farm Museum on May 17, 2025!

Learn about and see demonstrations of sheep shearing, wool processing, dyeing, weaving, and spinning. Shop with vendors and artisans from RI and New England. Visit with the farm’s sheep and see visiting animals that provide us with the fiber for our craft. Pre-registration is HIGHLY recommended and tickets may sell out. Rain or Shine!

New this year: This year’s event features more than 40 vendors. Plus, Two Coves Farm will be holding the sheep dog herding demonstrations at the Sheep and Wool Festival at three times (11:00, 1:00, and 2:45).

Plus: Enjoy live music by Atwater-Donnelly from 10:00 am to noon and Good Lamb Music with Lewis and Aidan from noon to 4:00 pm!

10:00 a.m. - Keep Poking the Fluff, Felting Demo with Stacey Grant, Poke-It Felting
11:00 a.m. - Traditional Irish Hand Weaving with Laura Travis, Crios Cross Traditional Fiber Arts
11:00 a.m. , 1:00 p.m., and 2:45 p.m. - Sheep Dog Hearding Demonstration, Two Coves Farm
12:00 p.m. - History of the Drop Spindle with Aja Ewing, Herons Llyn Farm
1:00 p.m. - Flax Fiber Demo with Tracy Jonsson Laboy, Wood Spoon Farm (LLC)  and Kidder Gowen, Hawk and Handsaw Farm
2:00 p.m. - Working with Alpaca Fiber with Karen Medeiros, Kave Alpaca Farm
3:00 p.m. - Painting and Sculpting with Wool with Jennifer McCarthy, The Felted Bee

Show Off Your Projects & Participate in the Showcase

You’re invited to participate in our second annual Sheep & Wool Showcase. We are seeking artwork, crafts, and other hand-made items inspired by the animals and fiber we will celebrate at the festival. Have you knit a fabulous shawl? Photographed a charming flock of sheep? We’d love to show off your creation. Pieces will be on display at the Festival under an open-sided tent. Festival attendees will have the opportunity to vote on their favorite piece, and the winner will receive a family membership to Coggeshall Farm Museum and a sheep-themed goodie.
