Coffee & Conversation in a Community Circle 

9:00 AM - Dining Hall (at outdoor tables)

Enjoy a relaxing morning of connection & integration with friends in a community circle. We will explore themes of growth, healing & integration as we bring this beautiful weekend to a close. Hot coffee & pastries will be served. Bring a journal for any additional processing.  

Forest Bathing 

(90 min)

8:30 AM - meet at GROUNDS (near check-in)

Celebrate summertime magic on the mountaintop with an early morning forest adventure. “Forest Bathing” or ShinrinYoku, is an evidence based holistic practice which uses immersion in nature to promote health and wellness. Class participants will learn the history of “forest medicine” and discover it’s health benefits through a guided Forest Therapy Walk. This experiential class will provide opportunities for slow movements in nature, deep listening, and close observation, with optional discussion and group sharing. Certified Forest Therapy Guide Emmie Brenzel will facilitate this outdoor class which concludes with a closing Tea Ceremony. Participants are encouraged to dress for the weather.

Movement Patterns

9:00 AM - Millar Lodge

Movement Practice is a style of training from Movement Culture by Ido Portal, which focuses on patterns of movement to develop physical, mental and emotional capacity. His work is most well known in Europe, but movement practice is starting making its way into the USA.

In class, we will discuss and explore subjects such as joint pre/rehab protocols, partnering, ground movement/soft acrobatics and breathing techniques. 

Gentle Yoga Flow

9:00 AM - Cottage Lawn

Join Dave for a grounding and invigorating flow to get you ready to wrap-up and integrate a festive community weekend. Poses will be rooting, stabilizing, combined with a rejuvenating pranayama. We will end with a visualizing meditation to get you prepared to finalize your experience and begin anew!

Writing Sacred Spaces

10:30 AM - Dining Hall (at outside tables)

In this generative class, we will explore our ideas on what makes spaces sacred, the meaning of sacred spaces in our lives, and the ways in which we can write those spaces into existence. Readings from contemporary poetry & prose on the sacred in everyday life will be provided and discussed in class. No prior creative writing experience is necessary. 

All Levels Flow

10:30 AM - Clubhaus Yoga Studio

A fun feel good flow focused on properly aligning your body and connecting breath with movement. This will be a calming flow for the mind to enhance relaxation and stress relief. All levels are welcome.

Nena's Hip Hop Experience

10:30 AM - Millar Lodge

Get ready to sweat, twerk, and do some foot work! Nena's Hip-Hop class is a one of a kind dance experience! Bring the fun, the sexy, and most importantly the confidence! No dance experience? You don't need it! This class is all levels and will provide all dancers with comfortability, challenge, but most importantly FUN! Can't wait to dance with you!

Morning Flow

10:30 AM - Cottage Lawn

Join Jamie Dye for a morning flow class for all levels (bring a mat!). Participants can expect pranayama, or breath practice, to help ground the mind and body to our space. Class will move through different poses to a curated playlist designed to connect our minds and bodies with movement and breath. Our intention will be to create more balance and authenticity in our practice, with the hope of being translated back to our daily life. 

DANCECULTure

11:00 AM - 1:00 PM (drop-in friendly!) - Sequoyah Hall

The DANCECULTure mission is to create a community where members experience joy through movement. We celebrate the sacred beauty of expression, both individually and as a community. No Dance "knowledge" required. Just be yourself!

DANCECULTure runs every Sunday morning from 11am-1pm (pop in at your convenience) in Sequoyah Hall at Mount Sequoyah. Admission is always free, yet a donation to support DANCECULTure is welcome and appreciated! 

Learning Together: A Collaborative Finish

12:00 PM - Dining Hall (at outside tables)

This session will be a facilitated workshop that highlights lessons learned and impactful moments had throughout the festival. The aim is to utilize embodiment to further enhance the lessons learned and experiences felt so we can collectively process everything together. Dialogues, creative outputs, movement, and meditative practices will be utilized to support this closing session.

Turn Up Dance Fitness

12:00 PM - Millar Lodge

Turn Up Dance Fitness is a high-energy, ridiculously fun workout that combines dance, HIIT, bodyweight strength training, and active recovery to deliver results and good vibes. This empowering class is all about confidence, community, and letting loose-no dance experience needed!  You’ll feel welcome and supported as you sweat it out, dance it out, release some endorphins, and step outside your comfort zone. Expect to leave class feeling stronger, more confident, and like you just went out dancing with your friends.

Community Yoga

12:00 PM - Cottage Lawn

Join community yoga enthusiast, Alexzandrea Hollinshed, for A Community Yoga Class in partnership with Fayetteville Movement Festival! The class will be an approachable, beginner friendly vinyasa flow. All levels welcome. Please a bring a mat and water!
