Various Venue

The Fertile Ground Festival of New Works is a citywide, multi-week performing arts festival taking place in venues throughout Portland, Oregon and the surrounding areas.

This year's lineup includes site specific theatre, dance, solo shows, aerial performance, puppetry, and dozens upon dozens of brand-new scripts by some of Portland's most celebrated and prolific playwrights.

Schedule of Events:

7:30pm - Every Pretty Thing co-created by Alanna Fagan & Ken Yoshikawa

Structured more like a house party than a traditional performance, Alanna Fagan and Ken Yoshikawa obliterate the fourth wall in this new devised work. Audiences can expect to dance, mingle, and snack freely on concessions while guided through an immersive narrative as Fagan and Yoshikawa experiment with human interaction. Part social experiment, part avant garde performance art, this guerrilla theatre experiment will be unlike any other audience experience. "Every Pretty Thing" will continue its evolution in the fall of 2025 as the MainStage production of Roots and All. Theatre Ensemble, in collaboration with Coho Productions.

For performer health & safety, masks are required.

Despite setbacks and misunderstandings, Sally remains optimistic, ultimately finding love and happiness with someone who values her for who she is, not her money, in this colorful stage adaptation of PG Wodehouse’s 1920s novel, The Adventures of Sally.
