Folsom Lake is a popular destination for campers and boaters, but its appeal is accentuated by the lake-side trails that meander around much of the 75 miles of lake shore. Our Folsom Lake Trail Run utilizes these well-preserved trails along the south-eastern side of the lake: an out and back course beginning at Browns Ravine Marina, the trail then winding its way east, past Falcon Crest to the turn-around at Sweetwater Trailhead. This is one of our “flatter” courses, but there is still plenty of excitement and every race is as challenging as you make it. Our 10K, Half Marathon, 35K and 50K distances allow participants to select the course they’re prepared to tackle and can use this race as a check-mark to evaluate current condition.

Course Info:
The vast majority of the course will be run on moderately technical dirt trails. The course has gently rolling hills the entire way, and fun twisty single and double-track trails! Hiking/trekking poles are permitted at this venue.

Awards:
In an effort to promote healthy competition, overall awards are determined by gun time (the first 3 men and women across the finish line). Age group awards are determined by chip time (the time from crossing the start line to crossing the finish line).
The top three overall winners (male and female) of each race distance will receive a custom trophy with the race logo.
All finishers will receive a custom medal with the race logo.
All 50K finishers will receive a pint glass with the race logo.
The Dead Last Finisher (DLF) in each even will receive a custom award.
Age-group medals (3 deep) will be awarded in the following categories, for both males and females:
- 13 and under
- 14 – 19
- 20 – 29
- 30 – 39
- 40 – 49
- 50 – 59
- 60 – 69
- 70 and over
Post Race:
We offer a broad selection of sweet and salty snacks, as well as fresh fruit and a diverse line up of pre-packaged food options (chips, fruit snacks, jerky, etc.). We also offer Baja fresh burritos (chicken or veggie) for our 35K and 50K runners
