Step back in time and celebrate the heart of Fairbanks with Golden Days! This beloved festival honors our city's rich history, filled with pioneer spirit and golden memories.

Schedule Of Events

10 AM - 12 PM : Grande Parade

The pinnacle of Golden Days activities and the largest parade in Alaska! Hosting more than 100 entries, it includes marching bands, clowns, jugglers, antique cars, unicycle riders, and floats. Don’t forget to purchase your Rubber Duckie Race tickets from ticket sellers along the parade route!

Parade Route : Starts at the Carlson Center and proceeds downtown along 1st Ave, Turns right onto Barnette St, Turns left onto 2nd Ave, Turns right onto Noble St, Ends at Co-OP Market and Deli.

Parade Fees : Non-Profit / Community: $175, For Profit / Commercial: $275, Campaign: $325, Just for Fun / Non-Promotional: $75, Additional Motorcycle: $5 each, Additional 4-Wheeled Vehicle: $25 each, Additional Vehicle with More Than Four Wheels: $50 each

3:00 PM : Rubber Duckie Race

Each year, 8,000 rubber ducks race 1/4 mile down the Chena River from Wendell Street Bridge to Cushman Street Bridge. Prizes are awarded to the first 40 ducks. Pink tickets cost $5, and yellow tickets cost $10, with chances to win up to $5,000 or $10,000 respectively.

Race Route : Starts at the Wendell Street Bridge and proceeds down the Chena River, Ends at the Cushman Street Bridge.

Ticket Fees : Pink Ticket (Chance at $5,000): $5, Yellow Ticket (Chance at $10,000): $10

9:00 AM-5:00 PM : Street Fair

The Golden Days Street Fair provides the community a chance to browse vendors with various goods, services, and information. We'll have a variety of food trucks to satisfy every appetite, and you can enjoy listening and watching on-stage entertainment from some of Fairbanks’ most talented music and dance groups on the stage.
