Celebrating Community and Culture!

You’re guaranteed to have a great time at our annual family-friendly, Gray Wild Blueberry Festival celebrating all things wild blueberry! Enjoy the day at Gray’s largest outdoor party filled with: lively Live Music, delicious assortment of sweet and savory Food Trucks, Wild Maine Blueberry Pie Eating Contests – two contests for the kids + two contests for the adults, Wild Maine Blueberry Dessert Bake-Offs for Adults and (new for 2025) for Youth/Teens too!, Spelling Bee (for 1st to 5th graders only), Master Beekeeper, ‘Made in Maine’ Arts & Craft Vendors, Swing Band +80’s music tribute band + America/Blues/originals band, Community Expo,  Lawn Games, Chain Saw Carving Demo, Plein Air Painter, Caricature Artist, Henna Artists, Inflatables + Dunk Tank, Sprinklers (if it’s hot enough out), 1/4 Mile Fun Run, Face Painting at the Kids Tent + a Toddler Play Area. Activities may change each year + a few more get added every year!

Schedule of Events:

All Booths and Food Court Are Open For Duration Of The Festival 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM. 

9:30 - 11:00 am: Zoot Jumpers, 5-piece swing band

10:30 am: Kids Fun Run, FREE to enter, for ages 3-12 years. Three age brackets/races. Register at our Info booth in front of Newbegin Hall. Start is near the playground.

11:00 am: Wild Blueberry Pie Eating Contests. Register at Gray Food Pantry booth, also located near Newbegin Hall. Adults Contest is first, followed by the Kids Contest. 

11:30 am - 1:45 pm: Girls Just Want to Have Fun, 80’s Ladies Tribute Band

12:30 pm: Spelling Bee. FREE to enter, for grades 1st to 5th. Register at our Info Booth, contest takes place inside Newbegin Hall. 

12:30 pm: Wild Blueberry Bake-Off. DROP OFF at our Info Booth next to Newbegin Hall. Two divisions: Adult and NEW Youth/Teen. Judging takes place 1:30 pm. 

1:30 pm: Wild Blueberry Pie Eating Contests. Register at Gray Food Pantry booth, also located near Newbegin Hall. Adults Contest is first, followed by the Kids Contest. 

2:15 - 3:30 pm: Jenny Jumpstart & The Cap Guns, 3-piece guitar/vocals.
