The lineup for the 7th Annual Havertown Irish Festival Main Stage is set. The Kelly Center for Music, Arts and Community in Havertown, Haverford Township, PA is celebrating St. Patrick’s Day with the announcement of the bands to perform at the event. The FREE ADMISSION annual event attracts 10,000 people from around the region to Havertown in Delaware County, also known as the “33rd County of Ireland.”
This year’s event features top international touring bands from Ireland and beyond including the all sister band from Donegal, “Screaming Orphans.” Also winners of multiple Irish and international music awards, “Runa” (ROO nah); Dublin, Ireland’s “John Byrne Band”; and Canadian/American Celtic thunder favorites, “The Devil’s Brigade”. Irish dancers from Emerald Isle Dance Academy will also perform.
Kelly Organizer and Chairman Tom Kelly added “A GRAND lineup, indeed! The John Byrne Band has performed at every Havertown Irish Festival and we are thrilled to have them return! Last year, Screaming Orphans had to cancel at the last minute due to a family emergency but promised to make it this year. Runa is a family favorite returning for their 4th time. And making their Havertown Irish Festival debut is The Devil’s Brigade. The Havertown Irish Festival has become a signature Delco event!”
The Eagle Stage will offer an acoustic mix including Hooligan Jack, Michael Tearson, 3rowback, Kirsten Erwin and Bob Michel, and many more.
In addition to live music and Irish dancers there will be a Crafter Village featuring handmade crafts by over 70 artisans and crafters, food trucks, a beer garden, and a children’s Fun Zone. Admission is FREE. The Irish Festival takes place at 50 E. Eagle Road in Havertown, PA. Thanks to sponsorships and donations, the event serves as the primary fundraiser to support the Kelly Center for Music, Arts and Community in Havertown, PA.
