The 38th annual Heritage Festival is on Montcalm Community College's Sidney campus. During the three-day event, self-guided tours are available of all Heritage Village buildings with docents to provide information and answer questions. In addition, special features include reenactments, historic displays, craft demonstrations, vendors, music, children's activities, Vintage Base Ball and other offerings.
Schedule of Events:
- Honoring Seniors Day
10:00 am: Festival Opening at the Gazebo
- Buildings will open after the opening ceremony
10:00 am - 12:00 pm: Advocates for Montcalm County Area Seniors
- Special events for senior citizens include free lunch, drawings, door prizes, free blood pressue checks (sponsored by Metron of Greenville) and a scavenger hunt
10:00 am - 4:00 pm: Children's activities, crafts and fun at the Playhouse
10:00 am - 4:00 pm: Quilt show on the tent on the lawn
10:00 am - 4:00 pm: Self-guided Tours of all village buildings with docents available to provide information and answer questions
10:00 am - 4:00 pm: Silent Auction in the tent on the north side of the general store.
- Items include works from various artists. Proceeds benefit the Rural Pasters Institute in Uganda that is in partnership with MCC
10:30 am: Garden Tours
- Starting at the Master Gardeners table by the front gate.
10:30 am - 4:00 pm: Entertainment at the Gazebo
