NAOMI, a permanently single woman in her 50’s has big news: she’s pregnant.  She announces this news to her boss’s boss’s boss in the waiting room of a gynecologist’s office, to her best friend, her mother and more. It’s not that she took a test or has any kind of physical proof, but that she just knows it to be true. What she doesn’t mention – and what is revealed later – is the fraught history behind the man she believes to be the father of the baby.

As she announces her news to the various people in her life, their responses help inform her course of action. Through each of these encounters, Naomi must let go of the version of her life to which she had been clinging to create a clear vision of her future. Is she or isn’t she pregnant? That is the question.
