HomeGrown is Southeast Wisconsin’s original all-indie, all-original, all-Wisco music festival. A free event at a public park since 2015, HomeGrown is a volunteer-run festival celebrating Wisconsin artists from all over the state.

This year, we present two nights of music!

Sunday, July 13, we’ve invited an amazing roster of the very best roots rock, folk, and indie rock bands from around the state in a phenomenal showcase of the current state of Wisconsin music! Check out Sunday’s lineup below!

Day 2: An incredible, once in a lifetime, lineup of some of our favorite indie/roots/psych/jam bands from around Wisconsin!

12:00pm-12:45pm: Valley Fox

Valley Fox is a Midwestern folk power trio made up of Laura Bomber (guitar), Joe Wais (mandolin) and Tori Yocum (upright bass).

With a focus on delivering bold, haunting harmonies, the trio seamlessly blends pristine vocals with gritty string music to create a forceful yet thoughtful sound, blurring the lines of folk, bluegrass and country music. Their debut collection, Bear Dance, came out in 2025.

1:00pm-2:00pm: Hemlock Chaser

Hemlock Chaser is a folk punk/gutter grass band from Stevens Point. They play wild and unpredictable acoustic music melding traditional folk structure with punk sensibilities. Get their album Hardluck Stories, released in 2023!

2:15pm-3:15pm: Free Dirt

Free Dirt is a three-piece psych/roots/grunge band with drummer Chris Sasman, baritone guitarist Joe Copeland, and singer/guitarist Robby Schiller. Their triumphant album “Funeral on the Beach” was released in 2024.

3:30pm-4:30pm: Wise Jennings

Wise Jennings established themselves as a powerful duo in the original music scene in Wisconsin for eight years. In 2024 they decided to make a creative pivot to explore new musical ideas and added two members to the band. They incorporate rock and roll, funk, soul, and gospel into their usual quirky manner of songwriting.

4:45pm-5:45pm: Joseph Huber

Joseph Huber’s lyricism and introspective writing style has received high acclaim from music enthusiasts looking for a more substantive substitute to much of today’s music. Whether it’s irresistible, fiddle-driven, dancing tunes or honest, heart-wrenching “songwriter” songs, Huber’s songs and shows spans the spectrum of ‘Roots’ music while preferring not to stay within the boundaries of any strict genre classification.

6:00pm-7:00pm: Traveling Suitcase

Unpacking music since 2013, Traveling Suitcase loves to dance, have fun & spread love. Steering away from traditions lead singer & drummer Nicholas mesmerizes melodies. (Brandon, Nate, Justin & Todd) collectively offer hints of Indie, Funk, Blues & Rock to create the bands unique sound. Their full length album, “Moonlit Nights,” will be released in October, 2025, but you can listen to the single “Dragonwolf” everywhere!

7:15pm: People Brothers Band

The People Brothers Band’s unique brand of rhythm and soul features some of the most talented vocalists and musicians in the region. The vibrant group of longtime friends, collaborators, and multi-dimensional artists formed in 2008 as an open mic songwriting outfit and hasn’t looked back since.
