Homestead Days in Beatrice, NE is a community-wide celebration of our homesteading heritage put together by the Beatrice Area Chamber of Commerce and a group of wonderful volunteers and community partners!

Homestead Days started at the Homestead National Historical Park with a budget of only $200 and an idea for a gathering of craft demonstrators and activities. The celebration was planned as part of The National Park Service's "Year of the Visitor" program.

In 1984, the Beatrice Area Chamber of Commerce offered resources to expand the event from Homestead National Monument to Beatrice. The new partnerships between Homestead National Historical Park and Beatrice Area Chamber of Commerce marked a new beginning for the event - with over 17,000 visitors!

The event has grown beyond expectation into the Homestead Days we know and love today. Homestead Days are supported by generous volunteers, sponsors, and staff who are committed to making and growing this awesome and exciting family-friendly event in Beatrice!
