Island Shakespeare Festival operates on a pay-what-you-will model because we believe theatre should be for everyone—no exceptions. But that also means we depend on generous donors to keep the tent up, the costumes fabulous, and the stories coming.
Your gift ensures that we can keep doing what we do best-building empathy, fostering connection, and creating a little magic right here on the island.
Schedule:
6:00PM - 8:30PM - Much Ado About Nothing By William Shakespeare
The legendary romantic comedy where all is fair in Love, War, and running into your ex.
In Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing, words are weapons and wit is a shield. Beatrice refuses to be anything but fiercely independent—until she finds herself caught in a battle of the heart with the equally sharp-tongued Benedick. Meanwhile, her cousin Hero’s gentle strength is tested by a world obsessed with female purity-making a whole lot of "ado" over nothing. Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing is a sparkling comedy of deception, honor, and unexpected love, where women must carve their own paths amid a society eager to define them.
