What better way to celebrate July 4th and our nation's Independence than with a trail run along the shores and woods of Lake Memphremagog! Celebrate FREEDOM FROM TYRANNY, freedom from asphalt, and freedom to choose your distance. Options include a 2 mile, 5K, 10K, 10 miles, and 13.1 miles. Race begins at 8:30AM at Prouty

10AM - Derby Independence Day Parade
Derby Independence Day Parade
The Town of Derby will be hosting a 4th of July parade at 10AM. Set-up begins at 9AM. If you'd like to join the parade, contact Derby Town Clerk's office at 802-766-4906.
Corn Hole Tournament With Orleans County Cornhole
We will be doing 4 games of round robin with randomized partners for seeding. We will then jump into a double elimination tournament for all the marbles!!! This is open to all players and skill levels. You do not need to bring a partner.
$10 per player pay out to top 4 teams!

Fair Food
Arrive a little before the concert at 6pm to "grab n' go" your favorite fair food and have a picnic on the point. Concessions will be set up in Gardner Park from 5-10PM for take-away style service. Guests are reminded to "order, pick-up and move on," to ensure that parking spaces are available and unnecessary crowding is avoided. Masks and exact change are appreciated.
Fourth of July Paddle Palooza
The famous Evansville Transit Authority will be performing from 6-9pm on the waterfront of Garnder Park. Grab a chair and relax on the point or paddle in and enjoy the music from the water. Enjoy the concert and stay for the fireworks directly following the show.

Fireworks
As the night winds down and the sun sets, the grand finale of our celebration begins at 9:30 with a brilliant fireworks display over the bay on Lake Memphremagog. Fireworks are launched from the I-91 access road bridge with great views from anywhere in downtown Newport. Please park and enjoy them from your vehicle/vessel.
