6:00 pm - 8:00 pm : Community Workshops

The Spring Festival is about fostering a love and appreciation for live music. What better way to do that than to learn from the professionals themselves? Members of the JACK Quartet and the Christian Fabian Trio will demonstrate what goes into making these musical experiences happen. First, there will be a demo/Q&A, then we'll break out into groups for technique and ensemble workshops. Total time is 2 hours, 6-8pm. Classical: Violin/Viola/Cello, Jazz: Channeling Lionel Hampton. All levels and experiences are welcome. Even if you don't play, auditors come away with a deeper understanding and appreciation of the craft.

Location : University of Alaska Egan Wing, 11066 Auke Lake Way, Juneau, AK 99801

8:00 pm - 11:00 pm : FREE Jazz Jam
