Get ready, Bowie! The City is turning up the energy for the fourth annual Juneteenth Jubilee Festival – a vibrant celebration of freedom, culture, and community. Bring the whole family out to Allen Pond Park for a day packed with live music, food, fun, and festivities from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Juneteenth commemorates June 19, 1865, the day when the last enslaved Africans in Galveston, Texas were informed of their freedom - more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation. It’s a powerful reminder of resilience, liberation, and the enduring spirit of people.

This isn’t just a festival, it’s a full-on experience with something for everyone. Check out what’s in store:

Sip & Taste Square
Calling all foodies! Savor mouthwatering bites, sweet treats, and refreshing beverages from local vendors and food trucks. Bring your appetite, you’ll need it!

Shuttle Bus Service

Enjoy Juneteenth without the hassle of parking!

Shuttle buses will run continuously from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., making it easy and convenient for you to get to and from the event. The last shuttle will depart from Allen Pond Park at 6 p.m.

-- Mitchellville Soccer Fields (across from Allen Pond Park on Mitchellville Road)
-- Park & Ride Lot on Northview Drive
-- Side Parking Lot of United Furniture Warehouse, located off Evergreen Parkway at the Bowie Town Center
