We Are Thrilled To Be Offering A Morning Of Nature-Based Gatherings On Sunday, July 6th At White Memorial Conservation Center In Litchfield. These Are 4 Separate Events (Details Below) And There Will Be No Vendors Present.

Parking Available. Please Check The Parking Area For Each Event As They Vary. Please Arrive 15 Minutes Prior To An Activity.

Rain Or Shine – These Events Will Proceed If It's Raining And Will Be Cancelled Only In The Event Of Thunder Storm.

Nature Walk Along The Bantam River
Join Us For A Nature Walk Through The Beautiful, Varied Landscape Of The White Memorial Conservation Center. Enjoy Evergreen And Deciduous Forests And Marshlands As We Wind Our Way Along Parts Of The Mattatuck And Greenway Trails With Views Of The Bantam River. 

We Will Start Our Walk At The Carriage House  Parking Lot, And Be Guided By Appalachian Trail Guide And Local Nature Enthusiast Karen Halpert. 

The Trails Are Generally Wide And Easy To Navigate. The Hike Should Be About 1.5-2 Hours, Including Stops For The Sights Along The Way. We Suggest You Wear Sturdy Walking Shoes And Bring Bug Spray And Some Water To Drink.

Family-Friendly Nature Scavenger Hunt! Bring The Whole Family, Little Ones Included, For An Immersive Journey Into Nature. Breathe In The Fresh Air And Enjoy Being In The Cool Forest As You Walk White Memorial's Ice House Trail. 

Children Will Be Invited To Explore On A Deeper Level With An At-Your-Own-Pace Nature-Based Scavenger Hunt. You Can Also Investigate The Local Habitat Via Qr Codes Placed Along The Trail Which Encourage Further Exploration And Learning. 

Litchfield Native And Homeschool Mother Allegra Will Provide You With The Scavenger Hunt Handout And Directions For This Deep Dive Into Our Local Ecology.

Join Siri Hoffman Of Kula Collective For A Refreshing And Grounding Experience In The Heart Of White Memorial's Beautiful Trail System.

We'll Begin With A Mindful, All-Levels Nature Walk—An Easy, Accessible Journey Through The Woods Designed To Help You Reconnect With The Natural World And Your Inner Rhythm. As We Walk, We'll Invite Presence, Breath, And Curiosity Into Our Steps, Soaking In The Beauty And Serenity Of This Local Gem.

After Approximately 40–45 Minutes On The Trail, We'll Close With A Gentle, Calmly Energizing Stretch Session Outdoors. This Post-Walk Movement Is Designed To Support All Bodies And Experience Levels, Leaving You Feeling Open, Relaxed, And Connected—Both To Nature And To Our Shared Sense Of Community.

Connecting With The Natural World We Belong Within, Awakening Your Senses, And Engaging Wonder In Your Present Moment Experience. 

No Experience Is Needed To Attend. Please Wear Comfortable Walking Shoes, And Sun Protection, As Needed.
