Mitchell's Run Thru Rockford (MRTR) is a USAT & F certified 5K Run/Walk course. Using the latest scoring technology powered by Classic Race Management, MRTR includes accurate splits at each mile and finish times. Parking, medical assistance, and restrooms are available on S. Squire Street. Designated race day parking is available on Courtland Street. Attendants will direct you. Designated race day handicap parking is also available. A variety of post-race food is provided just beyond the finish line to help you refuel and rehydrate.
Kids for Kids Fun Run
The Kids for Kids Run has continued to be the day's highlight for many families. Run with your favorite Superhero! We provide two age categories to accommodate a large number of kids.
All Kids K participants will receive a finisher medal, a race T-shirt, and a post-race ice cream treat.
Packet pick-up is Friday, August 22nd, 4:30-7:00 pm at the downtown Rockford Rotary Pavilion located on Courtland St. and Squires Street. Late packet pick-up is scheduled for Saturday, August 23rd, from 7:00 to 8:00 am at the same location.
5K Location: Starting on the Bridge Street Bridge, the race loops through downtown Rockford, then along Rouge River on White Pine Trail, finishing on historic Squires Street.
Kids Run Location: Kids for Kids K starts in the parking lot behind Kayla Rae Cellars and runs along the white pine trail to the 5K finish line.
