Welcome to the First Annual Montchanin Trail Festival presented by Velo Amis, The Delaware Interscholastic Cycling Association and the Delaware Trail Spinners. There will be lots of time to explore the trails via a Mountain Bike Poker Run Competition. The Poker Run Competition is open to runners and walkers as well! There will be a Mountain Bike TRIALS Competition, A fun 3 hole Disc Golf Course (open throughout the event) and Tiny Bike Races for Kids and Adults. We will also have great food and drinks (Thank you Autumn Arch Beer Project).
Timing will be a bit flexible but please see the tentative schedule below. We want everyone out on the trails for the Mountain Bike Poker Run by 9:30AM. We ask that if you are running or walking, that you wait until 9:30AM to start. This allows the mountain bikers to be on course ahead of you. You do not have to participate in the Poker Run Competition. The Trails will be open and marked and you can use the morning to Mountain Bike/run/walk the trails.
Mountain Bike Poker Run REG OPENS 8:30AM CARDS SUBMITTED BY 11:30AM: Participants Mountain Bike, Run or Walk to a series of designated checkpoints and pick up a playing card at each stop. The goal is to accumulate the best possible poker hand by the end of the course with the winner receiving a cash prize. All poker run cards will be submitted by 11:30AM. Poker Run is a single category event! Everyone is encouraged to participate. Prizes are: 1st Place $300, 2nd Place $150, 3rd Place $75.
Mountain Bike Trials Competition 11:30AM: Ride any bike that you want for the Trials Competition! The TRIALS Competition will begin at 11:30am. Even if you are not choosing to compete PLEASE cheer on the competitors!
Tiny Bike Competition 12:30PM Adults and kids will be racing tiny bikes through a short course. Fastest time wins! Prizes for category winners.
Disc Golf 3 Hole Competition: 9:30-2:00PM
The Disc Golf Putting Competition will be set up by 9:30am and is on the HONOR System. Record your own score. Prizes for category winners.
Food / Drink Schedule Aid station on poker run course. Beer and non-alcoholic drinks open at 12:00PM. Food opens at 12:30PM.
