The Newport International Boat Show (NIBS), one of the largest and most prestigious boat shows in the Northeast, spans over seventeen acres with multiple interconnected show sites in historic downtown Newport, Rhode Island. Walk the docks and admire a spectacular display of shiny new sailboats and powerboats, some making their first-ever debut in the United States. On the land side, you’ll find hundreds of marine products, services and accessories to enhance the boating lifestyle. Also on deck are educational seminars, in-water boating courses and VIP experiences.

About cruisers classroom:

The Cruisers Classroom is located ‘below-deck’ at the Hammetts entrance to the Boat Show. These discussions and panels take place in a classroom setting and are complimentary to all boat show attendees. Topics are designed to enhance your boating knowledge and skills—whether you're new to boating or a seasoned mariner. Topics cover a wide range of marine-related subjects, including liveaboard life, transitioning from sail to power cruising, offshore sailing and planning, the advantages and uses of lithium-ion batteries, boating safety, finding your ideal cruiser, financing 101, dockage, safety tips, maintenance, and more.

Classes being offered all four days of the show. This educational classroom is walk-up only and a complimentary experience for all to enjoy. Seating is limited to 40 per class.
