Charlestown High School
1 Pirate Place #1699

The 5K-9 Race is held in remembrance of our fallen K-9 Officer, Sgt. Benton Bertram, who lost his life bravely serving his community on Dec. 12th 2018. Ben's love of dogs inspired this event to be dog friendly and encourages participants to bring their furry friends to run/walk the race! That's why it's called a 5K-9!
All Ages Welcome!
Dogs of ALL breeds and sizes welcome!
Walk, Jog or Run
Free Shave Ice for all participants after the race provided by Yello Sno!
Funds raised from this year's race will go to benefit two causes:

550Foundation.org
550 Foundation is a 501c(3) non-profit, started in honor of Sgt. Bertram, with a mission to provide free fully trained K-9's, free training and equipment to law enforcement K-9 Divisions in Indiana.

AND
The children of the late Deborah Meyer.
We are deeply saddened by the tragic passing of Deborah, a devoted mother of 3 young children. In this time of immense grief, her children are being lovingly cared for by family. We believe our community has the power to offer them hope and stability. Your participation in the race will directly contribute to ensuring these children have the support they need during this transition in their lives.
