Band Lineup

Plunk Murray

Plunk Murray is a fantastic, diverse, and slightly rowdy band that keeps all ages entertained with an eclectic mix of traditional, modern, and trans-genre hard folk music. Comprised of a group of incredibly talented multi-instrumentalists, Plunk Murray boasts decades of professional music experience and is proud to garner a reputation as a professional group both on and off the stage. With over 100 combined years of drinking experience, they have certainly earned their reputation as a drinking club with an Irish music problem.

Cleghorn

Cleghorn is America's Celtic Rock Band! The musical engine is renowned fiddler Dylan Cleghorn and his father, the legendary Texas guitarist John Cleghorn. Cleghorn's unique brand of Celtic rock mixes their original songwriting with high energy fiddle and bagpipe tunes.

The performances of Cleghorn have enamored audiences and stirred up festivals across North America. Dylan and John have been acclaimed as charismatic performers who even go as far as leaving the stage to play among the crowd during their concerts, and they have been supporting Sherman Celtic Festival since its inception!

Cleghorn promotes an energetic and uplifting show for all ages that should not be missed!

Blaggards

Blaggards hail from Houston, Texas, delivering their own high-energy blend of Stout Irish Rock. Their sound fuses traditional Irish music with rock 'n' roll, drawing inspiration from legends like Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley, Thin Lizzy, and Black Sabbath. They are often compared to bands like Flogging Molly, Dropkick Murphys, and The Pogues.

The band features lead vocalist and guitarist Patrick Devlin (originally from Dublin, Ireland), bassist/vocalist Chad Smalley, and drummer Turbo. Known for their relentless performance schedule, they play extensively across Texas, embark on national tours multiple times a year, and host an annual tour of Ireland.

In addition to being festival favorites across the country, Blaggards ' music has been featured in film and television. Their songs Drunken Sailor and Big Strong Man appeared in an episode of the CBS series The Good Wife, while Big Strong Man was also featured in the British film The Kid.
