8:30 AM: Coffee + Conversation Bike Ride

Details: This casual bike ride will visit local coffee spots, including Sweet Elenor’s, Village Coffee, and ZBeans on Cotton Ave. Along the way, you’ll enjoy coffee, sample tasty offerings, meet local business owners, learn about their stories, and engage in conversations about biking and transportation in Macon.

Led and facilitated by Bike Walk Macon Executive Director Rachel Umana, this ride offers a chance to share your thoughts, ideas, and questions about creating safer, more bike-friendly streets. Whether you’re a fan of biking, coffee, or meaningful conversations, this ride is for you!

11:00 AM: Macon Vision  Zero  Implementation: Gray Hwy and East Macon Walk

Details: Join Weston Stroud, Macon-Bibb County Traffic Safety Manager for an informative and engaging walking tour that dives into the transformative scope of the newly awarded Safe Streets and Roads for All federal grant. This exciting project will bring approximately one mile of new sidewalks along Gray Highway and over three miles of multi-use trails along Clinton Road connecting to the Ocmulgee Heritage Trail, creating safer, more connected pathways for pedestrians and cyclists alike.

Explore how these new trails will link three local parks—Ocmulgee Heritage Trail, Dr. William Green Lee Camellia Garden, and North Highland Park—while providing better access to Northeast High School and Appling Middle School. Plus, learn how the addition of lights every 90 feet will enhance nighttime safety for the entire community.

Let's talk about your thoughts and ideas on what this could do for East Macon!

Where: Dr. William Green Lee Camellia Garden (976 Glenridge Drive). The tour will be approximately 3 miles. Please arrive 10 minutes in advance.

12:30 PM: Historic Vineville Mardi PAWs Pet PAWrade & Neighborhood Stroll

Details: Join Vineville Neighborhood Association for a DOG-gone good time as we revel in the streets of Historic Vineville at the Mardi PAWs Pet PAWrade! People and pets of all ages and from all parts of Macon are invited to show off their creativity and your pet's PAWsonality by donning beads, masks, and the bright yellow, purple, and green colors of Mardi Gras!

We invite the community to meet at 12:30 PM in Oak Haven Park, where we will begin our guided stroll through the beautiful streets of Historic Vineville. The PAWrade will begin at the intersection of Corbin Ave and Clayton St, and the event will end in the lot of the former Bateman & Wade building where we will celebrate with food and festivities! Whether you walk with us from start to finish, line the parade route, or strut your stuff with your pet, we are excited to laissez les BONE temps rouler through Historic Vineville!

Note: All pets must be on a leash and in the owner's control at all times, and each pet must have up-to-date vaccinations.

Where: This is a free, family-friendly event thanks to a generous donation from Vineville Neighborhood Association - no registration required. The walk is 0.6 miles beginning in Oak Haven Park and concluding at the new greenspace at the intersection of Rogers Ave. and Clayton St.

2:30 PM: Ocmulgee Heritage Trail Behind the Scenes Bike Ride

Details: Bring your bicycle and pedal through the newest sections of the Ocmulgee Heritage Trail with Bill Causey, retired Macon-Bibb County Engineer, NewTown Macon Consultant, and trail expert. Bill will share insights into building the trail, discussing its challenges, and successes.

Learn about the trail's development, operation, and future plans through the Vision Plan 2.0 map. We'll address challenges, including how I-16 and I-75 construction has affected some sections with temporary closures and alterations. Don't miss this unique opportunity to converse with the people who fund and build the trail, gaining first-hand insights into one of Macon's most iconic and largest public spaces that enhances the community's quality of life.

Where: Meet at the Amerson River Park Bluff Pavilion - take the first exit at the roundabout to the large white pavilion overlooking the river. This is an easy-paced ride, that will briefly travel off-road.

5:00 PM: PLaza Party Celebrating 10 Years of Bike Walk Macon

Details: Celebrate with us as we wrap up Streets for All Fest and commemorate 10 incredible years of Bike Walk Macon!

Enjoy an evening filled with music, outdoor games, and interactive activities for all ages. Learn about our advocacy efforts and achievements, and find out how you can support safer, more vibrant streets in Macon.

This event is free and open to everyone!

Where: Party is happening in Cotton Avenue Plaza between 5-8 PM.
