This is the Telluride Food and Vine Festival. We know that our goal lies not just in gathering the finest culinary talents and vintners from near and far. It also lies in the building of true relationships, in inspiring chefs and artisans and wine makers and distillers and brewers, and in creating an atmosphere where they all come together to celebrate the spirit of our mountain town.

This is the Telluride Food and Vine Festival, a celebration of the simplest joys of life uninhibited. It is laughs shared with old neighbors and new friends, the stories told, the meals enjoyed together, when all pretense is dropped, when the worries of the world fall away, when we're free to enjoy the essence of life at its purest. This is Telluride Food and Vine. We celebrate all that Telluride represents. We celebrate community and creativity. We celebrate lasting, true relationships and the real people who know this place feels like home, no matter where they're from.

We celebrate a love for the outdoors, an awe at the beauty around us, and we celebrate the life that is lived when we find our truest, simplest selves, uninhibited and inspired, free to partake in a life truly abundant.

Schedule of Events:

12:00 pm - 2:00 pm: Blended Reds

Location: Ah Haa Launchpad, 155 W Pacific Ave, Telluride, 81435

This event is an attendee favorite! Bring out your creative juices (pun intended) at this interactive and hands-on tasting experience. By tasting Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot independently, attendees will be guided to a deeper understanding of the four red appellations, and how they can blend together to create the red wines that we all know and love.

Join California winemakers Pax Mahle, Martha Stouman, and Patrick Capiello as they discuss their process of blending for their own wines. As you taste and discuss each wine, you will analyze its unique flavors, aromas, body, tannins, and mouth feel and learn how the world's leading winemakers combine these grape varietals to create their own unique blends.

Attendees will then begin the process of creating a wine blend of their own, suited to their personal wishes and unique palette.

4:00 pm - 6:00 pm: Message In A Bottle

Location: Ah Haa Launchpad, 155 W Pacific Ave, Telluride, 81435

A lot can change in four decades, and no where is that more evident than in the differences in each bottle shared during this experience by our award winning producer.

This 'vertical' will allow attendees to see the evolution of a specific wine over time, as well as better understand the effect of growing conditions in different vintages, plus any changes to techniques in the winery and - in the case of blends - assemblage percentages.

Any vertical has its fair share of drama behind the scenes. Hail storms, frost, changes of ownership, wider economic events that impact sales. Depending on where you are in the world that might extend to earthquakes and forest fires.'

Savor this opportunity to taste what each bottle is saying to you about the world it was created within.
