The event starts and finishes at the Toonerville Trail trailhead. The course is a mostly flat 5K out-and-back along the Black River.
Proceeds will benefit Meals on Wheels of Greater Springfield and Springfield High School Cross Country, and we will also be taking donations of non-perishable food items for the Springfield Food Bank.
Post-Run: We will have water, Nuun electrolyte drink, and some light snacks - just enough to hold you over until you get home and enjoy a feast. Plus, you'll earn a pair of super cool Turkey Trot finishers socks!
Music / Strollers / Dogs: Music players are allowed, but please run with only one earbud in, be aware of other runners and traffic (there is a short road section near the turn-around), and use general caution. Strollers are allowed. Well-behaved short-leashed dogs, preferably dressed as turkeys, are allowed.
