​Labor Day 2025 will mark the 60th year for the West Liberty Labor Day Festival! It is the main fundraiser for the West Liberty Lions Club and assists us in maintaining the local Lions Park and supporting other local charities and organizations.

Four years ago, a variety of new family activities were added on Monday of the festival, introduced as the Labor Day Festival "Family Day". It has been extremely successful, generating interest and a large crowd, and brought much enjoyment to those families who came out and participated! Some of the new activities included bounce houses, strolling entertainment, COSI on Wheels, performance dogs show, scavenger hunt with prizes, face painting, visits from Stinger from the Columbus Blue Jackets, the West Liberty-Salem Tiger, and Elsa from Frozen! All this was possible because of the generous support from Community Leaders such as you.

Schedule:

9:00 a.m: 2nd Annual Liberty Spirit 3 Miler Run/Walk 
Join us for the 2nd annual race at the West Liberty Labor Day Festival! The race will start and end near the splash pad and go through town and around the park. Total of 3 Miles, not quite a 5K. Proceeds this year will go to the ALS Association, in memory of Joe Rose. An unique race medal will be included for all registrants before the cut-off!
