The first farmers market in Natchitoches, Cane River Green Market, was founded in 1999. In 2017 the market changed its name to the Natchitoches Farmers' Market; however the markets vision remains the same - to encourage a sustainable future. At the Natchitoches Farmers' Market, we are hoping to change the way we think about the relationships between our food supply, the environment and our bodies. The Natchitoches Farmers' Market is managed by the City of Natchitoches Department of Community Development.
