Stars, Stripes & Submariners! An Independence Day Celebration

This Fourth of July, the Galveston Naval Museum invites the community to celebrate freedom, history, and patriotism at "Stars, Stripes & Submariners!", a special family-friendly event from 12 PM to 3 PM before the evening fireworks light up the sky.

Highlights of the Day Include:

- Interactive Naval Exhibits – Explore the USS Cavalla a Gato Class Submarine, and our Destroyer Escort the USS Stewart, and honor heroic tales of the sea!

- Kid-Friendly Activities – Hands-on crafts, scavenger hunts, and photo ops with artifacts.

- Food Trucks & Refreshments – Enjoy classic 4th of July food, sweet treats, and cold drinks.

4:00 PM - 7:00 PM: Evenings in The Promenade at The San Luis Resort

Sip, savor, and soak in the perfect blend of seaside serenity and elegant evenings with live music, seasonal cocktails, and delectable appetizers in The Promenade at The San Luis Resort.

Please be advised that a ticket does not guarantee a seat or table in The Promenade. Seating for this event is based on a first-come-first-serve basis.

6:00 PM - 8:00 PM: Galveston Island 4th of July Parade

Celebrate Independence Day with our annual 4th of July Parade along the Seawall! The parade kicks off at 6:00PM on Friday, July 4th, as a festive lineup of Jeeps, golf carts, and decorated vehicles rolls from 22nd Street to 45th Street in a patriotic display.

Lineup starts at 4:30PM at 19th and Seawall. Make sure your music is clean, your candy is ready to toss, and your vehicle is parade-ready—this is one of Galveston's most spirited summer events.

6:00 PM - 9:00 PM: Sunset & Sounds with Ice House Radio @icehousereadio at Hotel Lucine

Sunset & Sounds is back to soundtrack your summer — and this year, we've doubled the nights and expanded the sound.

Every Friday and Saturday night, the rooftop fills with live music, ice-cold drinks, and a summer breeze you'll want to get caught in. Artists from near and far are taking the stage, and whether you're a local, a hotel guest, or just passing through, you're invited.

9:00 PM - 10:00 PM: Galveston Island 4th of July Fireworks Show

Right after the 4th of July Parade, grab a spot along the Seawall and get ready for the show—fireworks begin at 9:15 PM. The best views are between 27th and 37th Streets, but you'll be able to see the display from just about anywhere on the island. Bring a lawn chair, kick back, and enjoy the grand finale to a day of celebration.
