Northwoodstock Music Festival

Bent's Camp Resort
6882 Helen Creek Road

The first Northwoodstock kicked off in August of 2006 with a surprise appearance from Dewey Bunnell of America. The event quickly became a summertime staple for those on the Cisco Chain, and soon the town of Land O' Lakes. In recent years, bigger shows like BoDeans, Starship feat. Mickey Thomas, Mark Farner's American Band (Formerly Grand Funk Railroad) and Rusted Root have solidified Northwoodstock as one of the most unique and intimate music events in the state. This year, we're taking things to a new level with TWO big headliners!

Schedule of Events:

JASON SCHEFF longtime lead singer of Chicago and TOMMY DECARLO from Boston
Jason Scheff, longtime lead singer of the band CHICAGO, and Tommy DeCarlo, former lead singer of the band BOSTON, team up for a night of unforgettable classic rock music spanning the 70's, 80's and 90's. This musical tribute features two great sets of classic hits with the timeless ballads of CHICAGO and the guitar-driven rock music of BOSTON. Over 15 million fans have attended a live CHICAGO or a live BOSTON concert over a thirty-two-year span featuring either Jason or Tommy's signature high-tenor lead vocals.

Jason Scheff joined CHICAGO in 1985 as lead singer/songwriter/bass player and went on to perform thousands of live concerts spanning four decades during a non-stop touring and recording career with the band. Jason contributed vocals, bass, keyboards, and songwriting, spanning 18 CHICAGO albums and 98 songs, including lead vocals on the 1986 #3 Billboard Hot 100 chart hit single "Will You Still Love Me?".

Tommy DeCarlo joined BOSTON in 2008 after the passing of Brad Delp in 2007, and has been the lead singer on every BOSTON tour thereafter, including 2008, 2012, 2014, 2015, 2016, and the latest in 2017. In 2013, Tommy sang four songs on BOSTON's sixth and latest studio album, Life, Love and Hope, including the title track.

Don't miss these two great lead singers along with a top band of touring professionals, which includes; Steve Ferlazzo (Avril Lavigne) keyboards/vocals/music director, August Zadra (Dennis DeYoung) lead guitar/vocals, Steve Fekete (America) lead guitar/vocals, Mike Morales (Dennis DeYoung) drums, Tommy DeCarlo Jr lead guitar/vocals, and JJo Oberle (Sarah McLachlan) bass/vocals.

Seth Brown Duo
Seth and Desiree Brown, vagabonds, wanderers, mates, and musical partners, meld together forming a unique genuine roots rock duo.

Seth lighting it up on his acoustic guitar, a stunning mahogany Martin, leads in thoughtful songwriting, intricate playing, mature vocals, and overall good energy. Desiree keeps a steady pulse rolling on percussion, dropping in vocally throughout with melodic blends, harmonies, and leads, dancing the night away wherever she comes in. The Duo takes listeners on a journey to their core. Seth and Desiree play their version of Roots Rock, blending country, folk, rock and roll, and blues, while sharing engaging invigorating stories from the road less travelled. In a floundering world Seth and Desiree's passion is sharing great music that reaches the soul, allowing listeners to feel alive and authentic.

After a chance meeting in Nashville, Tennessee that led to marrying in 2015, the couple took off for the wild unknown three years later. Leaving their corporate lives, giving away nearly all they owned, and selling their first home, they hit the open road to sow vagabond seeds they'd dreamed of all their lives. Facing themselves and the path less traveled. The highways, byways, twists, and turns led them both back to prolifically writing. Seth flowing in songwriting while Desiree chronicles in memoir. The duo traveled and toured the USA full time for five years. While on the road they each released their debut projects, ‘Campfire Currency' a complete produced twelve track album and ‘Desy's Diaries - awakening to the alternative' a full length memoir novel.

Laughing, exploring, sitting and singing around campfires, meeting new friends, embracing adventure amidst the unknown, they rumbled down the open road taking music all along the journey. Falling in love with the northern midwest along their way, the couple now proudly calls Upper Michigan home. It's really more of a base, as they travel and tour regionally, nationally, and internationally. You'll find them supplying stories and songs that open the imagination, shining a silver lining.

The Seth Brown Duo takes their audience and turns them into friends. Catch them live, hear what love sounds like.
