The best (and only) science festival in Colorado is back again with 16 days of fun and engaging events designed to showcase STEAM where it's taking place in Colorado Springs and around the Pikes Peak Region. There are events for all ages- adults, kids, teens and families - and most are absolutely free (some events may have a fee to help the hosts cover their costs).
We'll have dozens of exciting science magic shows, laboratory tours and demos, rockets, drone soccer, live animals robots, liquid nitrogen ice cream, Insectapalooza, and lots of other hands-on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Math) activities and exhibits for kids (primarily K-8th grades). It's all Free (even the parking) and fun for all ages!
Once Carnival Day is over, the festival events kick into high gear. There will be events for all ages, pre-K to adults, and most are free.

1 - 2pm: Homeschool: Ute Knowledge
A special event of the 2025 Colorado Springs Cool Science Festival
Investigate how the Ute people used science, technology, engineering, and math to survive and thrive in the Rocky Mountains. In this hands-on program designed by History Colorado Museum, you will engage with ways the Ute people solved problems, past and present. Ages 8 - 12.

2 - 3pm: Create & Play
A special event of the 2025 Colorado Springs Cool Science Festival
Creative and playful adventures with art for children ages 1 – 5 and their parents or caregivers. Be sure to wear clothes that you don't mind getting messy.

4:30 - 6pm: Graffiti Tees

Have you ever seen tie-dye on a black t-shirt? Join us to learn reverse tie-dye techniques while creating a colorful, graffiti-inspired t-shirt to take home yourself or for a friend! A single black shirt will be provided for each participant (S-XXL) while supplies last, and feel free to bring a shirt from home! For ages 13-18.
