The Annual Craftsmen’s Fair began in 1933 and runs for nine days each year, featuring the juried work of hundreds of members with sales booths, interactive demonstrations, and curated exhibitions attracting over 20,000 visitors annually. This video from 2021 captures the essence of the Fair, and provides a sense of the wide range of creative experiences you can expect to find each year.

Daily Demonstrations

Enjoy different demonstrations daily by Craft Guilds and Juried Members. Many of these demonstrations include the opportunity to try the technique yourself, so be sure to ask when you visit the tents. Our daily demonstrations are generously sponsored by Dorr Mill Store, NBT Bank and Baker Newman Noyes.

Indigenous Arts with Mt. Kearsarge Indian Museum: Tent D

Mt. Kearsarge Indian Museum celebrates Indigenous Arts from across North America. Educators will display a variety of arts including beadwork, leather crafts, basketry and more. Learn about how traditional materials are used to create a variety of household and personal adornment iteris.

Clay Handbuilding with Lauren von Duyke Dadmun: Tent H

In this participatory demonstration, visitors will leam the techniques used in day handbuilding by creating small houses. Handbuilding with clay predates the Invention of the pottery wheel and has been practiced for centuries. You can purchase her work in The Shop at the Fair.

Bobbin Lace with the New England Lace Group: Tent R

The craft of bobbin. lacermaking dates back to the 16th century. Learn about this intricate technique, which was the way most lace was made before the advent of machines.

Music at The Fair

The League is excited to offer live music every day of the 2025 Fair. These talented local musicians will be playing daily from 10am-4pm at the Art, Craft & Design tent, adjacent to the food vendor area.
